In 1928, a small microphone and phonograph cartridge manufacturer in Chicago, Illinois, needed an aggressive rep firm to establish a dealer network to grow their line. Although SKM has a long and storied history, there has also been a lot of change. Just as product change and markets evolve, so has the way we do business and our approach to that change. In 1986, SKM was purchased by it's employees, headed by Jack D'Angelo, who had been with Sam Macdonald since 1949. Although Jack has passed on, SKM still has deep-rooted family ties. SKM has a dedicated staff, a 24 hour FAX line and the main facility is computerized housing a vast database. A large conference room is available for sales meetings and training seminars and is equipped to handle presentations in a variety of media formats.
